Open source in Crate Runner
Crate Runner bundles an audio tool built from FFmpeg, statically linked with the LAME MP3 encoder. Both are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1. The license text ships inside the app (Crate Runner.app › Contents › Resources › LICENSES).
The complete source code for the bundled build:
- FFmpeg 8.1 source (unmodified release; sha256 b072aed6871998cce9b36e7774033105ca29e33632be5b6347f3206898e0756a)
- LAME 3.100 source (unmodified release; sha256 ddfe36cab873794038ae2c1210557ad34857a4b6bdc515785d1da9e175b1da1e)
- Build script with the exact configure flags. The tool runs as its own program inside the app, so you can replace it with your own build: put it at Crate Runner.app › Contents › Resources › ffmpeg › ffmpeg.
Crate Runner also uses other open-source components under permissive licenses, including Electron, ONNX Runtime, the LAION CLAP model, better-sqlite3, and Express; their notices ship in the same LICENSES folder. Questions: support@craterunner.app.
